ON EUROPE

Now everyone is considering how to vote, IN or OUT, I would suggest you consider who’s in either camp. Cameron and Osborne say IN whilst Boris and Gove say OUT. Isn’t that a tad suspicious? Didn’t they all snuggle up together at school, university and the infamous Bullingdon Club?

I can just imagine the plan – the two buffoons leading the campaign to Brexit,  promised a warm welcome in the cabinet reshuffle after the campaign to Remain wins. Let’s be fair, they all want to stay In so they can continue to make millions from their business deals and offshore investments.

There’s a plan afoot to trick the voters so remain wins. So don’t let the Establishment win! Vote LEAVE 👊

ON IMMIGRATION

Well, it’s now patently obvious that we are living in the best country in the world. That’s why everyone wants to come here. And who can blame them?
There is a limit however, to illegal attempts to enter this Country and the people waiting at Calais are acting illegally as well as endangering themselves and the drivers who are trying to earn a living.
Clearly there is only one solution which will solve the problem – close the tunnel and flood it.
Our country survived numerous wars due to the protection offered by the Channel.  When the tunnel was opened, the precautions were set in place to protect us from rabid animals coming through. No one envisaged people trying to get through illegally though, and unless we get tough we will be invaded, after all these years.
Flood the tunnel with water, or the country will be flooded with illegals.

ON THE N.H.S.

Here’s the plan.
1. Close as many A&E department’s as possible.
2. Wait until the remaining hospital accident staff are under extreme pressure.
3. Measure their effectiveness.
4. Blame the public for going to hospital, the nurses for not wanting to work in A&E,  and the NHS for needing reform.
RESULT:
Closure of your National Health Service.  Which is what the Establishment are achieving.
There is a way out. Go and vote for the Labour Party at the general election.

Don’t believe a word the Conservatives say. They have refused negotiations with Junior Doctors, causing them to strike. The Government hopes to turn the electorate against the Doctors – all part of the big plan to privatise the NHS. Support the Doctors despite what you see and hear, don’t desert the NHS. If we lose it, it’s gone forever!

ON UKiP

Reading the newspapers, there would appear to be a trend towards the public voting for the UK Independence Party (UKiP) in the forthcoming elections for Members of the European Parliament. Now this could present any number of problems.

The sole objective of UKiP is to remove the UK from the European Parliament. They want the UK to be independent from Europe, which may be a desirable objective for many. So for what reason does UKiP wish to stand candidates for election as UK MEP’s?

Nigel Farage has been an MEP for many years, except a brief period when he stepped down to unsuccessfully stand for Parliament. And what does he do there? He has a long record of disruption and minor skirmishes which, given more support (from other UKiP MEP’s) could cause major problems.

The right and proper way to remove the UK from Europe can only be from our own Parliament taking a vote and resigning, not through tactics which appear to be trying to get us kicked out!

Another thing the media are indicating, is that UKiP could possibly be in a position to win seats in the next Parliamentary Election! How would that end up? With a coalition Parliament with Conservatives? Farage is an ultra-conservative himself and only resigned from Parliament when John Major signed the Maastricht Treaty, and many of their candidates hold similar views. For this reason a Labour/UKiP coalition would never happen.

And what if UKiP miraculously won the most seats and actually formed the UK Government? Well just possibly we would devolve from the European Union, leave the European Community, tear up the Maastricht Treaty, fill in the Channel Tunnel, deport undesirable foreigners, close our borders and…what then?
Our Government would have no experience, no tested ability, no European support and what’s more the Political Party running our country would have achieved their sole purpose and have no other objectives.

So Now we learn that for each seat the Tories have, UKiP are going to do a survey showing the swing towards their party, take the results to the MP in that seat, and ask them to defect. I guess they’ll still be Tories if they win next year then.

ON TELEVISION

Isn’t it hilarious that the BBC trilogy blockbuster “Jamaica Inn” was screened with inaudible sound levels on the dialogue? Funnier still, the evening news on BBC (23rd April) featured an article about it. Their conclusion? Watch it with subtitles!

Now, for some time I have been forced to watch my TV with subtitles turned on, despite wearing a pair of superb NHS digital hearing aids, featuring a ‘loop system’.

The reason, in my opinion, is that the TV Companies are messing with sound levels in a number of ways: background music being too loud; dialogue being too quiet, or mumbled; advertising sound too loud; strong accents not being understandable.

So, why is this happening? Well it began a few years ago when the commercial TV stations started increasing the volume adverts were broadcast at, and the broadcasting commission’s response was to legislate to prevent them doing so.

What did they do then? They turned the volume down on programmes broadcast, but left the advertising at ‘normal’ levels. This resulted in everyone turning up the TV with the effect that adverts were (once more) louder!

My guess is that this has again been stamped upon, and the response of the programme producers is to fiddle with dialogue sound levels, leaving the music and background sound at the upper limit. So, you have to turn the TV up still.

Why do the BBC do it then? Because they also sell the series to commercial companies in the USA and other countries. That’s why.
And the mumbling? Oh, that’s ART lovey, that’s art.

ON DOG POO

As I mentioned the un-cleanliness of our streets, we mustn’t forget to applaud the dog owners who fastidiously clean up after their pets. I saw one doing it the other day, and it was disgusting. You wouldn’t catch me doing it. No way! Because I don’t have a dog.

The problem is though, that people who do have dogs don’t clean up after them. And why not, you may ask? Well would you? I mean, its always a big pile from a big dog, isn’t it? Because the owners who don’t clean up don’t have chiahuas do they? Oh no!

They have killer dogs, fighting dogs, butch dogs with spikey collars. Not pets with poncy curls and blow waves! Oh, and these dog owners are above picking up shit. And who’s gonna make ’em, eh?

So the general view which I’m projecting is that ‘pet owners’ pick up, and ‘dog owners’ won’t; and since pets rarely bite the faces off babies, wouldn’t it help keep the footpaths clear of dog mess and save lives if society introduced canine euthenasia as the penalty for not picking up dog poo? I’m certain it would reduce the numbers of dangerous breeds

ON STREETCLEANING

The streets of England are a mess. Well, where I live they are. So the council sends small street sweeping machines out to clear up. Except they don’t, because they can’t.
There are so many cars parked with two wheels on the pavement, the machines can’t drive down our footpaths. Incedentally, these cars are illegally parked and uninsured. Check the small print on your car insurance – its not covered if parked on the footpath. So these cars, having two wheels on the pavement are therefore uninsured. That is an offence.
So these illegally parked uninsured cars are preventing the sweepers from cleaning our footpaths of all the litter dropped by – who? Could it be the people and their offspring who have parked illegally and prevented the council from cleaning up the rubbish they have dropped? I think it is!
It also makes me wonder if they have dogs and are they the same people who allow the excrement to foul the pavement without being picked up. But that’s another blog!

ON POLITICS

Do you see how similar to each other the political parties are in Westminster? Its evident when you watch debates in the House of Commons. All they can throw at each other are words, and those words are invariably carrying the same message… ‘What we have achieved is marginally better than you did/will do. ‘ So, neither party wishes to change things radically – just a tweak here and a saving there; so that they can claim to be making a difference, when in fact they’re not.

And why is it called the House of Commons when practically all its (Right Honorable) members came from somewhat privileged backgrounds? Which of them is not the product of further education (even Private education!) and who among them is in the least bit common? It’s hardly representative of the people, when not one of them will have struggled for months/years on welfare, or the minimum wage, lived in poor housing stock, or even live in a downtrodden neighborhood.

And now we hear that the current Government has allegedly done what everyone suspected they were doing all along when they privatized Royal Mail. They sold it cheap so that the investors would make a killing. Seven hundred per cent increase on investment. So, how many of these investors who are benefiting from that particular windfall are ‘common people’ in low paid jobs or unemployed, from poor housing stock or deprived areas? Can I hear you guess ‘none’?

And, I ask you, why is it that our Politicians turn a blind eye to the atrocities being carried out in Turkey by the Erdogan regime, when they cry “FOUL” to Putin’s Russia? Could it simply be that Turkey is a NATO member whilst Russia is not?

If this election does nothing else, it should demonstrate how the ‘Tories’ persist in their belief that misinformation repeatedly drip fed through the media will eventually become true. Ergo “the Labour Party propped up by SNP ” when clearly this will never be the case, and no-one ever stops and says ‘but surely the Conservatives will win!’ Perhaps they believe their own spin?
Now there is hope at last. Jeremy Corbyn, if he is elected leader of Labour could bring politics back into the spotlight especially with the younger generation. Let’s see what happens.
